Willma Harvey served as the Assistant Editor of the national academic journal Reflections: A Journal for Scholarship on Public Rhetoric, Civic Writing, and Service Learning. The journal was initially housed at Syracuse University, and when it moved to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, she was promoted to the position of Associate Editor.

While working as a Research Assistant at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Ms. Harvey began editing manuscripts. Eventually, she became the Associate Editor of Reflections and provided various services, including managing the Reflections website and promoting the journal. Ms. Harvey also collaborated with Barnes and Noble to make the journal available for purchase at the campus bookstore. Additionally, she successfully reached out to English Departments at different universities, encouraging them to advertise in the journal.

Ms. Harvey was responsible for maintaining the Reflections website as a webmaster. The website included advertising activities related to rhetoric, civic writing, service learning, and community literacy. She also publicized information about upcoming conventions and conferences, Call For Papers (CFP) solicitations, and the achievements of professors who received awards and were recognized for their published works.

Willma provided administrative support to the Reflections editorial team. Her duties included managing the CRM database, preparing exhibits and displays, and recording and disseminating minutes of the meetings. The Reflections team consisted of Ms. Harvey and three professors representing Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Syracuse University, and Colorado State University.
